    Cobb Estate, known locally as the "haunted forest," sits in the hills east of Los Angeles. This 107-acre nature preserve was a Victorian vacation spot in the early 1900s. The grounds featured a 70-room hotel, a petting zoo, a tavern, and a casino.White City.The property became "White City" until landslides, windstorms, and wildfires destroyed it in 1938, near Charles Cobb's death.

    Different groups bought and sold the property. In 1956, the Marx Brothers took ownership. Strange noises and apparitions started haunting the old manor then. Eventually, the property was abandoned again, perhaps because of these events.

    Miscreants, teens, and junkies used the rotting house as a hideout.     Thousands of Bodies Pulled from Snake Hill - New Jersey

    Snake Hill in Secaucus, New Jersey, is one of the most haunted plots in the United States. Settlers used this cursed hill as a dumping ground for New Jersey's unwanted residents.

    Corpses from this area eventually went to the Hudson County Burial Grounds. People still do not know how many bodies remain in the 190 acres under the 200-foot hill. Now, the land allows people to roam; it holds a few parks and sports fields.
