Jack Black Surprises 'Love on the Spectrum' Fan

Tanner Smith started his reality TV career on Season 2 of Netflix's dating show.Love on the SpectrumThe official Netflix synopsis states that the “romantic documentary series” follows “people on the autism spectrum look for love and navigate the changing world of dating and relationships.”

The series gets praise for boosting autism awareness and understanding. Viewers built a large fan base for the show's wholesome, funny, and heartwarming moments. My name is Tanner, and I’m 25, and I’m still looking for love… It’s good to see you again, too. I missed you… Yes sir, I’m happy to be back. We are doing this ’cause this thing is cool and unique… We are all cool and unique.

Smith also appeared on Clarkson's talk show. He discussed his big fandom for Jack Black again and mentioned wanting to meet the actor at age 31. Clarkson told Smith (now 26) she had another message from Black and playedthe actor's video message:

What's up Tanner? Jack Black here! I still cannot wait to meet you in person, but I'm on the road withA Minecraft Movieright now… But luckily, I have insane ninja kung fu powers, which means I can come through these doors and I'm gonna see right now when I come through these doors!

Jack Black burst through the stage doors. Smith greeted him, hugged him, and told him,Jack, I'm glad to finally meet you! Jack, you're a great actor and singer; you're my biggest fan!

Smith complimented Black's strength. He quipped, “I work out a little. We should lift weights together. You can teach me tips.”

As a mom to a 19-year-old Autistic son, the interview's flow brought me to tears. There is so much love and inclusion! Tanner and all Autistic people deserve respect and treatment like anyone else. Kelly did that. Jack being so cool and loving was too much. I hope my son finds this joy and acceptance.

Tanner's honesty and love, without filtering, is the best part. It is incredible.
