In Ohio, get something 'to go' at a fast food restaurant, and there is no sales tax.fast food restaurantThere is no sales tax.

I eat there anyway. Suck it, Ohio.

My frequent grocery store loyalty card lets me earn points for a discount at the pump. I use my loyalty card for a gift card to the store, earning many free points. I get money and my friends for free.

My high school called home if I skipped class. My parents were strict about skipping. They gave out information sheets at the start of the year with all my data. I could update changes. I switched my home phone number to my cell. Late calls went to my cell. My parents never noticed.

    From Redditor u/dairyqueen79:

My job rounds time cards to the nearest 15 minutes. This always favors the company for the extra minute. For instance, clocking in at 5:03 gets you paid for 5:00. Clocking in at 5:09 gets you paid for 5:15. If I finish at 7:21, I wait two minutes and clock out at 7:23. This gives me an extra 15 minutes for sitting, not less pay for my work. I have probably earned a full week of extra pay doing this. This adds up across many shifts.

We had a clock-in station an hour ahead. We clocked in normally on one station, but clocked out on the one an hour ahead to get a free hour of money. They fixed that fast.

    From Redditor u/bayesianqueer:

I doubt other states follow this. California bans 'members only' pharmacies, so Costco must let non-members get prescriptions. Inside, you get free samples and cheap pizza, hot dogs, and more. Tell the door staff you are filling a prescription. If they check, say your doctor called it in or it is already dropped off. They won't check unless you visit too often.

Costco sets prescription prices at 15% of wholesale. This usually makes them cheaper than other pharmacies. If you are a member and claim you are uninsured, they remove the 15% and you get the pills at wholesale cost. Even with insurance, insurance might not pay, or you might face a large deductible. So, fill most prescriptions elsewhere, then use Costco for out-of-pocket costs and get a 15% discount by claiming you are uninsured (since they do not check).

Costco lists prices on its website. You can check these against other pharmacies if you use goodrx.com to print coupons, as Costco appears as "Membership Warehouse".

IKEA lets you borrow a roof rack with a deposit. I use it to move used furniture from Craigslist.

I do not pay to check my luggage. I take my carry-on suitcase to the gate, but I wait to board last so all overhead compartments are taken.

Then I must check my bag at the gate. It is usually the first bag out when I arrive at my destination.

My wireless broadband provider has a flaw on their data counter. I get an unlimited quota by repeatedly connecting and disconnecting my modem several times.

My usage is currently over 10000% of my package limit.

The driving range at a golf course near my old job gave generic tokens after you paid to put golf balls into the ball machine.

I researched where to buy exact copies and bought 100 for $70. Each coin usually costs $15.

Our local arcade gives you tickets for games won. They also have a machine that counts tickets and puts them on your play card. The reader accepts any ticket, even ones not from that arcade.

Not me, but a friend bought used games from GameStop, played them, returned them, and picked up a different used game.

They let you return used games within seven days. You get free video game rentals then, minus a deposit you get back later.

    From a fomer Redditor :

This works in my state, but maybe not everywhere. Toll booths have a system many people miss. If the machine fails to record your change, honk your horn. This bypasses the system, avoiding a ticket. If I forget my ezpass, I toss a few pennies in the basket, honk, and drive through. Eight years, zero tickets.

When I buy movie tickets at the kiosk, I get kids' tickets. These cost a few dollars less, and the person tearing the tickets never checks.

I have a two-year Best Buy warranty on my laptop. Every year, about 300 days, I drop my laptop in the tub. I get a new one worth the same as the last and pay for the cheap new warranty.

Rinse, repeat. I paid for one computer in eight years; I am twenty.

I punch in the produce code for bananas at the self-checkout lane when I buy avocados. This makes avocados, which cost about a dollar each, four to five for one dollar. I probably stole thousands of dollars worth of avocados this way (I eat one or two every day).
