To get the longest lashes, put the mascara wand near your lashes. Blink hard down onto it. This gives them huge volume and length that lasts all day—even if you don't have long lashes.

Drink water. Your skin and body will thank you.

I focus my time and money on my skincare instead of makeup. Good skin makes me feel better with less makeup, and it looks better. Spend time finding what works for you. Take notes; I did.

Sunscreen ladies! Put on and reapply sunscreen in ten seconds. This saves wrinkles later. I apply it everywhere, even my hands and chest. Use it in winter too!

Work a hair mask or deep conditioner into your weekly routine. This softens and moisturizes your hair. Everyone's hair is different, but mine gets frizzy and knotted when dry and stiff. Use jojoba oil on the ends while I sleep.

Do not touch your face all day. Avoid casual picking. Your hands are dirty and sweaty. I especially avoid this at night while sleeping.

If you do not love something in the store, you will probably not wear it.

Do not use old, expired makeup. It is not worth it. Throw that stuff out and treat yourself.

The last tip is: fake it till you make it. Faking confidence can work, though it is a controversial idea.

    Good skincare beats makeup skills.

Use carbonated bubble masks, tomato sheet masks, rose water, and tea tree oil. I look like a teenager but am almost 30.

Do not fight your hair. Keep it moisturized, conditioned, and clean. If it gets really frizzy one day, I run cocoa butter through it. No heat, no sticky products. My hair is curly, and my hairdresser was surprised by my lack of split ends. If you get frizz, satin pillowcases help. I dislike them because they feel gross when I sleep.

Multivitamins and lots of water flush gunk from your system, making your skin, hair, and nails happy.

When in doubt, use cocoa butter. For post-training hands and feet, use cocoa butter. For hair frizz, use cocoa butter. For tight, itchy scars, use cocoa butter. For dry skin, use cocoa butter. For a bad day, use cocoa butter.

Baby oil is the best makeup remover I have ever used. Seriously. I am a drag queen. It removes everything and does not burn.

Use a fine line of liquid eyeliner through your crease. Blend it up and out with a smudge brush to create a very dramatic cut crease look. I am a drag queen. What do you expect?

Eyelash glue acts as a great glitter adhesive. Drag queen. Glitter. Yes.

Longtime MUA. These are some personal hacks I found work well for me:

I use chapstick, the cheap, clear kind companies give away, to hold my eyebrows instead of brow gel. Then, I use a brow comb to shape them.

Urban Decay's primer potion in Eden acts as a concealer for noticeable blemishes, especially for paler skin.

Brushing my bare eyelashes after showering or washing my face keeps them shaped overnight. This makes applying mascara easier, and my lashes look set.

I use a dark eyeshadow and liner brush instead of an eyeliner.

I tried using clear mascara instead of brow gel; it is a popular technique I have seen.

I used a spoon handle at the outer corner of my eye like a ruler to make a straight cat-eye. It worked well this Halloween, though I only used the handle, not the curved part.

Draw your bottom line first for the perfect eyeliner wing. Then, draw the top, making an empty triangle, and fill in the space.

    Setting spray helps you.

Check your foundation color against your jawline. Remember, it might change based on the season and your tan.

For nude lips, I mix foundation with lipgloss or lipstick. This gives me a new, creamier color that matches my skin tone. It works for changing looks or making 'my lips but better'.

Apply all your eyeshadows first. Then, apply your foundation or concealer. If you are like me, eyeshadow falling on your cheeks ruins your foundation.

I am a professional makeup artist. I hope these tips help you. I will keep this short.

If you have beautiful skin, show it off. Less is more works. A primer or moisturizer with a soft shimmer looks great alone or with foundation.

If your foundation does not last all day, you must set it.

Use a good eyeshadow primer on your eyes.

Warm your mascara before applying. This makes it go on smooth without clumps. I put mine under my arm, between my legs, or in my bra when I do my makeup and add it last.

Spray a light mist, like rosewater or Mac Fix+, on your brush after loading it with eyeshadow. This lets the color show more and last longer.

Buy quality brushes and products. Good brushes last years and make a difference. I use some daily; they have been mine for eight years and still last.

Focus on one main feature: statement eyes or subtle lips; don't mix both.

Use concealer for dark under-eye circles. Apply pale concealer on top; this shifts blue/purple to a lighter shade, letting the color show through. Apply Stila's taffy primer first, then the pale concealer.

Spray hairspray on your brush and run it through your brows after filling them in. This keeps them in place all day; you cannot feel the hairspray until you want them gone.

Apply a pink illuminating primer under your eyes before concealer to fight greenish-blue bags.

Warm your concealer and curling wand in your bra or another warm spot for a few minutes. A warm wand works better than a cold one, and warming the concealer reduces cakeiness.

Use eyeshadow for your brows. You do not see the need for eyebrow powder when you have eyeshadow colors perfect for the job.

Mix darker eyeshadow with your foundation to create a cream contouring shade that blends easily.

Apply eyeshadow primer under your eyes, in your brows, and around the nose corners. This makes makeup last longer and looks better than regular primer.

Use a small, coarse lip brush to press matte black eyeshadow onto your lash line to fill sparse lashes naturally. Then, create the wing.

Cut the back ends off your brushes because poor vision forces you to keep the makeup mirror close to your face.

Your Tarte 360 eyeshadow primer holds everything in place. Use it for eyebrows and concealer if needed.

Start mascara with a very light coat on each eye. Gently swipe the mascara onto the lashes so they have little product and look separated, like a no-makeup look. Finish your lower lashes while it dries.

Apply a second coat for volume and length. The light first coat acts as a base, keeping lashes separated and clump-free. This makes achieving any mascara look with the second coat much easier.

Apply a third coat only to the tips of lashes you want to elongate using the brush tip (use They're Real because the starburst tip helps with this).

Sometimes I heat my curler with my hairdryer before applying. I then do a cool shot upward after the mascara is on. I rarely need this because the first light coat gives me more curl. Use these steps only if you need the look to set and last.

I put Vaseline on my eyebrows to keep them in place. I also put some on my eyelashes at night; this stops them from drying out. This works well. It helps a lot with avoiding mascara clumps the next day.

Mix powder eyeshadow and clear nail polish together. This creates a new nail polish color!

I mix MAC pigments with any clear nail polish. This gives my nails a multi-faceted color.

I recently learned that almost every mascara wand straight from the tube has way too much product on it.

He suggests wiping the wand with a paper towel before using it on your lashes. Yes, it wastes product, but it makes a big difference!

I noticed newer mascaras clump more than older ones. Older ones still had less product on the wand, even though their consistency changed a bit.

Using a foundation the same color as my skin still made me look pale. I fixed this by buying a slightly more orange foundation. When applied thick, it looks like fake tan. I put light coverage, blended it in, and covered it with a pressed base powder foundation. This gives me a healthy glow!
