About this list

Charles Manson, the notorious cult leader behind multiple brutal murders, is also a musician. He recorded his first album, Lie: The Love Terror Cult, in 1968, releasing it in 1970 to help fund his legal defense. Manson has produced more music since, and several mainstream bands - including The Beach Boys, Guns N’ Roses, and Marilyn Manson - have covered his songs from the 1970 album. Despite this, Manson remains broke. In 1971, Bartek Frykowski, son of one of Manson's victims, sued him and was awarded $500,000, with interest. The judgment must be renewed every ten years, and by 1993, when Guns N’ Roses released their cover, Frykowski was eligible for up to $1.4 million in royalties from Manson's earnings.

Strangely, after acting success onHappy Days.and then as George McFly inBack to the Future., Crispin Glover began testing the music industry in 1989. Hisdebut album. The Big Problem Does Not Equal the Solution; The Solution Equals Let ItBeincluded a track Charles Manson wrote called “I’ll Never Say Never To Always.”

Glover’s version sounds creepier than Manson’s. He layered multiple tracks over it, adding wailing sounds and children crying.
