Printing issues in the early ’60s caused the Hulk’s gray skin to look bad on the page. Marvel changed the Hulk's color to green. The Hulk's name changed times, but he stayed the Incredible Hulk at his core. This held true as the Immortal Hulk, and as Apocalypse's Horseman, he remained the Hulk. Gray skin came back (printing kept the color consistent), and his personality shifted. The gray Hulk spoke clearly and showed more intelligence than his green version.
He moved to Las Vegas and took the name Mr. Fixit while working as a casino enforcer. Mr. Fixit stayed the main personality in the Banner/Hulk/Fixit form; he did not switch back to Banner for months. The Hulk then returned to green, undergoing many changes and upgrades. Over the years, he mostly stayed the Incredible Hulk.
