About this list

Star Wars and superweapons are closely tied. These massive weapons come in various shapes and sizes. The original Star Wars film set the precedent with the Death Star, a planet-destroying weapon. Its successor and The Empire Strikes Back, widely regarded as the best in the series, followed. Since then, every game, comic, and novel has tried to outdo the Death Star. The Force Awakens created a planet that could destroy entire star systems, but it's not the most ridiculous planet-killer. Check out the list below to see which one takes the top spot.

The resulting devastation wiped out everything in the star system. Kyp Durron used this fighter to destroy the Imperial Academy on Carida and the Carida system itself. A black hole destroyed the fighter at last.
