Ranking the most influential surfers of all time is a challenge. In surfing, culture matters just as much as skill. Many notable surfers are among the best, but some have had a broader impact. Bruce Brown, for example, was a surfer, but his surf films and documentaries have shaped our view of the sport. Most of these influential surfers are indeed all-time greats. Famous surfers like the Duke, Miki Dora, Stephanie Gilmore, and Layne Beachley have changed the sport forever. Who should top the list? Check out our picks and vote for your favorites.
