Naruto's 15 Most One-Sided Fights, Ranked

You might think a military force with top ninjas and thousands of soldiers could challenge Madara. They cannot. Madara possesses the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the power to pull meteors from the sky. Madara is a terrifying shinobi. Only Might Guy stood a chance against him, but that is a different fight.

WhenSasuke and Itachi fight.Sasuke fights Itachi for the first time. The fight is so one-sided it hurts. Sasuke desperately wants to kill his big brother for destroying their clan. However, he lacks the strength and experience. He is also a preteen, and his opponent is almost an adult. Sasuke tries Chidori, but the wall slams him before he lands a hit.

This fight pushes Sasuke to Orochimaru's lair. It shows him the huge gap between him and his brother.

Tenten never got a real chance to show her skill. This fight shows that. Tenten barely summons her weapons. Temari hits her with a whirlwind attack, then strikes her mid-spine with a giant fan, taking her out for a long time.

This fight ends before it starts. Dosu planned to kill Gaara in his sleep. Finding him awake, Dosu challenges him. His sound attacks fail against Gaara's sand. Dosu is crushed by a tidal wave of sand in seconds. The fight is over; his life is over.

It is good for the Konoha ninja that Itachi and Kisame avoid a full fight. This mini-showdown went poorly. Kurenai attempts a genjutsu on them; the effect bounces back at her. Kakashi gets trapped in Itachi's Tsukuyomi. The trio escapes, but they gain knowledge about the enemy.

Itachi challenges Deidara to a battle to make him join the Akatsuki. Deidara thinks he will win by blowing up the clay centipede around Itachi. But Deidara was under a genjutsu the whole time; the centipede wrapped around him. The fight ends. Deidara feels both frustrated and amazed.

If the Team 7 genin faced the Demon Brothers alone, they would likely lose. It looked like it would happen for a moment. Kakashi took what seemed like a fatal blow; the kids tried hard on their own. Kakashi just used substitution jutsu and stayed fine. The Demon Brothers, however, finished him a second later.

Hinata tries to shield Naruto from Pain's attack. This moment is very touching. Hinata knows she cannot win. She loves Naruto enough to take that risk.

She loses almost instantly. Naruto then lets loose his Nine-Tailed Fox powers.

White Zetsu might seem creepy, and there are many of them. However, Naruto and B defeat them easily. Naruto uses his Yang chakra to slice through them, employing huge Rasengans. Even when Zetsu merge into one monster, he defeats them. He then uses Negative Emotions Sensing jutsu to find the army's remnants and eliminate them.

Zaku's arms have hollow tubes. These let him blast compressed air at foes. This ability made his fight with Shino during the Chuunin exams one-sided. Zaku broke his arm fighting Sasuke earlier, so his powers failed. Shino found a way: he filled Zaku's arms with kikaichu bugs and exploded them from inside.

Orochimaru is a Kage-level fighter, one of the legendary Sannin. Compared to Itachi, though, Orochimaru is weak. When they fight in the Akatsuki, Orochimaru wraps his snake arms around Itachi, aiming to use Itachi as a new host. Itachi stops this easily by activating his Mangekyo. Orochimaru gets no eternal life.

This fight was so one-sided Neji nearly destroyed Hinata. Hinata's strength would grow later, but during the Chuunin Exams, she could not match her cousin. Both fighters tried their family's Gentle Fist technique. Neji proved much stronger.

Shikamaru thinks defeating Tayuya and her sound genjutsu is impossible. Temari disagrees. She does not need to find Tayuya. She does not need to wait for the genjutsu. Instead, she calls her weasel partner Kamatari. Kamatari knocks down trees with its scythes until Tayuya is crushed.

Sasuke eventually wins the fight using Amaterasu. Still, the whole team worked hard to make any progress. This fight remains one-sided.

Karin went unconscious. Sasuke nearly suffered from Killer B's Lightning Release: Lariat. Suigetsu took a hit from a Tailed Beast bomb just to save everyone. If any one of them fought B alone, it would have ended in tragedy.

Orochimaru told Sasuke to spare his former teammates because they could be useful later; that's why Sasuke doesn't wipe them out with an unknown technique. Sasuke's training made him much stronger than anyone anticipates. He nearly stabbed Naruto in the back. Sasuke also causes serious damage with his lightning attacks. He escapes Yamato's Wood Release.

Former teammates might have been too shocked by Sasuke's appearance after a long time apart to fight properly. Still, Sasuke's strength is undeniable.
