From Redditoru/DocHoliday79:
Story time! Classic love at first sight. I loved her after two weeks. We moved in together after two months. We got engaged after six months. We were together for four years, and then things changed. I left my rent-control bachelor pad and found a bigger apartment so she could have her art studio. We did everything together and split all bills fifty-fifty.
She attended Comic Con in NYC as an expositor. I helped her pack. I dropped her at the airport. Everything seemed fine. There were no signs of trouble. She should have returned in four days.
She never returned home. She just vanished. She ghosted him. The day she should have been home, I panicked she might be dead. I found myself blocked everywhere: email, phone, social media, everything.
Everything I know comes from the bills she left unpaid, the credit card we shared (she stopped paying two months prior), and her cell phone bill. T-Mobile gave me a log for it because it was technically on my SSN. I found one specific NYC area code repeatedly in the call history and added 2+2. She met him at San Diego Comic Con a few months earlier. She then systematically planned to leave me, take what she could to NYC, and never look back.
She maxed out our credit card and Amazon card to furnish their new NYC home. By the time sadness became real, I could not cancel anything. I actually had to log in and see all purchases of houseware, bought with my money, for a house I would never live in.
I could not live in our house or afford our life on one income. The betrayal and economic damage hurt more than the love itself (it took me over a year living paycheck to paycheck to zero out all balances).

I owned a house with my fiancé. I woke up one night and he was not in bed. I searched. His truck and another vehicle sat in the driveway. Then, I went upstairs and found the guest bedroom locked. After forcing my way in, I found him with another woman in bed. That bed was my childhood bed. He pushed me out of the room—literally grabbed me by the neck and shoved me out, then closed the door. I knew I could do nothing then, so I called his parents nearby. His dad showed up, and another fight started. I left and stayed with his parents until morning. I moved out that weekend and let the house go into foreclosure. Nine years later, it is off my credit report. I am happily married to an amazing man; we own a beautiful home together.

[Four years] ago I dated a girl who grew distant and uninterested in things we both enjoyed.
I planned to end things myself. One weekend, she seemed unavailable. Mutual friends told me they saw her with a coworker, and they were all involved. She also lent me her iPad, which synced to her phone, showing me texts between them that weekend. They talked aboutThey ran away together., and so on.
He was married; she was his supervisor. Mutual friends, including her co-workers, reported them to HR. Both were forced into training about not sleeping with coworkers. They both lost promotions. His wife left him, and she moved overseas.
I was hurt then, but karma helped them.

A guy I know was cheating on his wife. She unexpectedly came home for lunch. They lived on a busy street in a small town. The wife grabbed the girlfriend's long hair and threw her out naked onto the street. That is how the whole town found out.

I recovered from being hit by an SUV as a pedestrian. This left me with a severe traumatic brain injury and broken bones: my back (three places), legs (two places), and pelvis (two places). I moved back in with my then-girlfriend for about a week. We went to a party, and I was left at the party because she could not find me. I knew none of these people; they were all her friends, and none could help me get home after she left with the group we arrived with.
I walked back to the apartment, drunk, tired, and in pain from overusing my injuries. I banged on the door until my knuckles bled. A man answered, let me in, and then he crawled back into bed next to her, in my bed. I could not handle that. So, I lay on the floor next to the bed and passed out. She broke up with me the next day and blamed me. This story has more detail, but I do not want to relive that year of trauma.
TL;DR: I walked into their bed in my room from a party. I could not handle the situation, so I passed out on the floor next to them.

It was a normal Friday. My husband kissed me goodbye and went to work. I cleaned the house for company, staying the weekend. Then, the doorbell rang. A man at the door introduced himself as the husband of a woman my husband worked with. He told me my husband and his wife were having an affair.
He busted them six months ago and told his wife she had to end the affair. He thought she did end it for three months, but they started again. Finding them together, he called my husband because he knew confronting him in person meant jail time. On the phone, he told my husband to leave his wife alone, or he would come and tell me everything. Apparently, my husband thought he was bluffing.
I was the last person to know. My husband never returned home. He rented an Airbnb and hired a lawyer. The divorce happened December 21, 2018. We shared twenty-four years together. It still hurts.

I found out the gender at the ultrasound. He was late, and I checked Facebook, waiting for a call.
He appeared in photos on my news feed from a gig last weekend. A random woman was in all his pictures, all of them touching each other. They were also making out in the background of one photo.
He arrived after I was called in. While the technician printed the images, I told him I knew. He argued, saying I made it up, that he never would, and that I lied to cover up his cheating, and so on. When I showed him the photos, he stormed out and left me there.
My dad showed up during the appointment. He anticipated a bad reaction if we had a girl, which he did; that was mixed with the cheating denials. He took me home.
I thought we were broken up then. I stopped all contact except texts about the pregnancy.

He went to Hawaii for business without his wife and kids. Like a good husband, I packed his clothes before he left and unpacked his dirty laundry when he returned. I found a small pair of white cotton panties (no lace) in his suitcase. He had lost a lot of weight recently, and he claimed he bought them for himself.
The bikinis had no label and were simple, so they could have been men's too. This explained the brunette who followed him off the plane at the airport and kept looking at my kids and me at the luggage carousel (what a jerk to put his side piece next to his wife and kids). I made sure he wore those panties at least once a week for the few months we were together (I set out his clothes daily, and he couldn't argue).

I could not find my wife after work one afternoon. I called her cell phone; no answer. She did not arrive home until 9:30 pm. She made up a story about traffic delays. I checked the State Farm driving app, which tracks movements. I found she left work early, went to the rest area off the expressway, and had relations with a 20-something trucker she met at her old job.
I stopped the party one afternoon. I arrived at the rest area, parked in front of his truck, and went straight to the door. The cabin shade was down. I pulled the shades and saw my ex-wife with a meth pipe and this guy. He dared tell me to keep things private. I did not handle that well. I called the police; they arrested both for possession. I immediately filed for divorce.

I found my wife after she died from cancer. That was the worst feeling. I was caught between love, mourning, and intense anger.
Her phone, which she guarded closely, showed me how I found out. A week before she died, I took the passwords off her phone to read her texts and manage her affairs. After she passed, maybe a week or two later, I looked through her phone and found many texts, emails, and sexting.
She did not know she had cancer at first. It took two months for the cancer to take her after the diagnosis.

My fiancée had one semester left for college. She needed an internship abroad for her major. She chose to go to Belgium for this internship.
About two weeks before she was due back, I stopped at a coffeehouse I noticed down the block but hadn't visited. I found my neighbor from growing up in a different city working there. We had not seen each other since high school, so we planned to meet after her shift for coffee. We met, and she told me she was engaged to a man who was finishing his studies by working on an internship in Belgium. I could not believe the coincidence. I told her about my fiancée and that they had to know each other. That is crazy.
A couple of days later, I bought coffee. My former neighbor looked very upset. She told me her aunt called the day before. Her aunt returned from Czechoslovakia. Something strange happened while they toured Prague. Her aunt and her group stayed at a local hotel. The next morning, she met her fiancé in the lobby. He introduced her as an American student. They worked together, but things were awkward. Both looked scared.
My former neighbor called Belgium long distance. After several tries over a day, she reached her fiancé. She asked him about the chance meeting. He said he expected her call. He admitted he had seen my fiancée almost the whole time in Europe. They spent weekends and holidays traveling together. I was shocked.
I went home. I tried calling my fiancée at her dorm in Belgium. I finally reached her late night, early morning. I directly asked if she was dating my neighbor's fiancé. I did not explain how I knew. She hesitated, acting like I was crazy for asking something silly. But when I said I knew his fiancée, she dropped the act and admitted everything.

She walked dogs for work. She said she went for late-night walks. She is dumb, though. She synced her pictures to the kids' iPad. Her daughter asked me, "Daddy, who is this?"
My kids and I left to see my mom after she denied it repeatedly. I got a Nest notification about movement in the apartment. I opened the app. The guy was there. She took down all the family pictures. I heard and watched them. I could only sit and breathe hard with anger.

I went to bed. I left my husband and a female friend downstairs drinking.
I went downstairs for a goodnight. They were smoking outside. I opened the back door. They fell on me. Clothes came off. Her lipstick covered his face and neck.
We are in the middle of a divorce.

I knew he cheated before. But I did not love him much, so it was not that bad.
One night, I was bartending. A drunk woman approached and said I looked familiar. She then shouted, “Oh, my friend is your husband!” I walked to the beer keg cooler with a vodka bottle. I drank some shots and returned to work.

The bathroom trash was taken out. This was rare because my ex-husband never lifted a finger. I checked the trash bin outside due to suspicions and found the bag. I opened it and found a used condom.

My ex-wife asked me for her blessing to cheat with another married man. She became shocked when I said I did not support it. She went ballistic, having severe mental health issues, and did it anyway. She ended up in a psych ward. Two marriages ended; now the two cheaters are engaged.
