The idea of real-life robot attacks may seem laughable, but it's not just the stuff of science fiction. Robot attacks often start with an ordinary day at work, then suddenly turn deadly. A malfunctioning military prototype can claim hundreds of lives. We shouldn't worry about machines rising up in a large-scale war. Instead, it's the everyday machines meant to protect and simplify our lives - like automated cars, weapons, factory machines, and medical robots - that have proven to be real threats in actual cases of robots attacking people.
