    A Redditor wrote this.u/Sandi_T:

I was in high school in the late '80s. I had already been emancipated, so I owned my apartment. The landlord had a package deal that gave me pay channels.

A guy started hitting on me. I liked him. I did not realize he had only just begun.afterI got my own apartment. This meant time away from his restrictive home environment.

He started spending time at my house. Then he brought his friends to watch my pay channels and ignored me. The first time they ate my food, I cooked crockpot chili for the whole week. That was all my food, divided into the freezer for later use. I asked them not to do it again and explained that it was my food for the week.

They did it again the next weekend when I made lasagna. This time, I yelled at them. My former "boyfriend" then slapped me and told me to stop (I was interrupting their show). I was angry that not one guy—not one—bothered.onebatted an eye about it.

Instead of breaking up, I made a plan. I bought two cans of Alpo wet dog food and a bag of egg noodles. I made "goulash" with it in the crockpot and let them eat it.

Afterward, I brought up the landlord's dog. I let him lick every bowl. They did not wash their dishes after stealing my food, so I put them in the cabinet as if I always did the dishes.

I answered their question about the "recipe" for my "delicious" food. I placed the two open cans of Alpo on the table.

They never returned. I spread the word at school that they ate dog food. They liked it so much they wanted the recipe.

TL;DR: I fed my boyfriend and his friends dog food.

    A Redditor wrote this.u/CatfishingBF:

Before I get hate for catfishing, I get it. It is wrong. It will hurt me later. Cheating is also wrong. Everyone is wrong.

One month ago, I found out my boyfriend, whom I was looking at engagement rings with, cheated on me.

He claimed it was one mistake. He said he loved me and still wants to marry me. He begged me to take him back.

Two weeks later, this idiot (me) took him back.

Forward to yesterday: My single girlfriend found him on Tinder.

I made a fake Tinder profile named "Anne." Anne found him and swiped right. We matched immediately.

He told me he was single. He sent me a picture of his penis while he was in my shower. He also sent a picture of him lying in my bed touching himself while I was in the bathroom.

He plans to meet "Anne" tonight for sex.

    How should I handle this?

Should Anne cancel? Should I show up? Should I tell him he is completely messed up and it is over? For some reason, I still love him and find it hard to let go.

TL;DR: Catfishing my boyfriend after he cheated.

    Redditor said.u/imtheguywhosharted wrote it.:

I signed up for Tinder a while back. Low self-esteem made me use random pictures. I wanted to practice talking to girls.

One day, I matched with an attractive girl. We started talking. The conversation went great; we clicked.

A week passed. We exchanged Snapchat names (mine was different from my real one). After chatting, she sent a Snapchat. It showed nudity, not clear, and no face. I sent one back. After days of talking all day and sending evening nudes, she finally sent one with better lighting. I was shocked. It was my stepsister's room. I asked for another, and it confirmed it. I sent nudes to my stepsister for weeks; she also used fake Tinder pictures.

    I am extremely confused now.

Should I talk to her about this?

    Should I just disappear?

    Redditor said.u/ja2wex wrote it.:

I might get downvoted, but here it is. My husband likes IPA beer, but it smells awful. It reeks from his pores and ruins our sheets and his pillowcase. The brand or quality doesn't matter; IPA chemicals do not mix with his body chemistry.

His favorite beer comes from a local brewpub. He drank about two to three growlers of their IPA weekly. I could not stand it. At lunch, I asked the owner to speak with him. He is very cool and said he also dislikes IPAs. This explains why many bad breweries open: IPAs need little skill to make, and people hide mistakes with strong flavors. So, he and I made a deal. Whenever my husband came in, they would tell him they were out of IPA but offer a cheaper lager instead. We hoped he would lose the taste for IPA and stop smelling up our house. I offered to pay the owner for what he lost in the discount, and he told me not to worry.

It actually worked. I tricked my husband's taste buds into liking lighter beer. He seems past the bad IPA stage, and he smells much better.

    Suck the beer.

TLDR: I worked with our local brewpub to stop selling my husband's IPA growlers because the beer made him smell terrible.

My boyfriend of four years cheated. We broke up. For six months, I created fake profiles on Tinder and OKCupid to match with him. We arranged a date, and I never showed up. Then I deleted the account. I did this seven times.

    I have no regrets.

    Redditor said.u/SwornToSecrecy_ wrote it.:

The title shows everything. I thought 'remorse' because I felt bad about the relationship's start since we were related. But it's 'no regrets' because I don't care now.

My half brother and I met four years ago. Since then, we have had something between us. We started fooling around after we met, but we did not have sex until this year. We were not serious initially; we agreed to be friends with benefits. That quickly became a relationship because our connection was undeniable. We love each other deeply. Knowing we are related hurts; we always wish we were not related so we could act like a normal couple. We go out publicly, but we are careful about showing public affection in certain spots.

I told friends I dated a guy I made up. I told them I was in a relationship because I wanted to act like any other couple, claiming I loved someone. Sometimes I lie about my status; telling them I'm single is easier. Many people find this disgusting; having a relationship with a relative is socially wrong. But I am so happy with him, I cannot picture ending it. I have never felt this love. He is my soul mate.

This is my deepest secret. It stays with me forever unless someone finds out...

    From Redditoru/throwaway293482342:

My girlfriend's younger sister is in university. She takes a differential calculus course for her biology major. I studied math in college, and my girlfriend asked me to help. She struggled badly and failed it last year. It is a little annoying, but I do not mind.

Last night, I sat with her at the kitchen table as usual. We discussed a partial differential equation. Then, suddenly, she kissed my lips. I did not react. After a few seconds, she pulled back, looked at me, and ran to her bedroom. I waited half an hour; she did not come back down. I assumed she did not want to talk and left.

The whole event felt strange. There was no sexual tension, so I do not know why she kissed me. Also, I am in a relationship with her sister. I have not told my girlfriend yet, and I am unsure if I should. I also have not heard from her sister. I really do not know what to do.

    My girlfriend's sister kissed me.

    From Redditor u/Cheap-Tennis-7592:

I married a 40-year-old at 19. I started dating at 17. That was gross, but that is what occurred. He married me because I was hot. He married me for his money. I possess other good traits, but he married me because I was hot. I know this. Everyone knows this. This doesn't feel good, but I manage it. We have been married 20 years. We have four kids. We are stable now. We share much. We love each other, though. If I could go back, I would slap myself.

What nobody tells you—or they try and you don't listen because you're a dumb teenager—is that marrying like this means you owe him everything. Every day. Not just in bed, but in every part of your life. You owe him things you never imagined someone else would decide for you. You owe him more than just the money. It weighs much heavier. He will never say it. But you will know the deal. It is fundamentally unequal. He will use his status at random times, making you feel like you are falling through the floor.

I do not hate my life. I accept I made this bed and I must lie in it. Still, I would not recommend it to anyone else. My oldest daughter is two years younger than I was when I met my husband. I cannot imagine it.

    From Redditoru/tattooed43yearoldman:

My wife and I met at 19. We stayed together until her death in 2009. It was heartbreaking. We had a great marriage. I try to be thankful I spent as much time with her as I did. For a long time, I could not bear being with anyone else, especially with our kids around. Then, loneliness and despair hit me. I decided I needed to move on. For the last few years, I have been 'dating.' Overall, it has not been good. Most women I met were not what I sought.

But last November, I met a wonderful woman. She seeks stability; she is childless but wants kids. She accepts my kids. She is a teacher and very smart. She is great, and we get along well. We move slow. We have lunch most days. She has met my kids a couple of times, but she pushes for more. I stayed at her apartment last week and had sex for the first time. She has a beautiful body, and things went well, but it was hard for me. I lost my virginity to my wife. This was the first time I had sex since she died, so I felt guilty afterward. I drank all next day, trying to avoid thinking about it. Later that night, I got a tattoo of my wife on my chest. I was very drunk and barely remember doing it.

The tattoo of my wife on my chest looks terrible. You barely see her face unless you see the exact picture the guy used. I am a 43-year-old father and lawyer, not some wannabe rapper. I have an appointment at a tattoo removal clinic Friday. I hope they tell me how to get it taken off. I kept this quiet because I am embarrassed.

I got a tattoo of my wife on my chest while I was drunk.

    Redditor submitted this.u/cannedham2020:

This is confession time. Something still fills my thoughts.

I did not date much or get much attention from girls in high school and college. This caused issues with females, insecurity, and intimacy. This is the makeup of a man with low self-esteem.

I met a girl at age 22; she was 19 then. ["B"] was nice and liked me, but it never improved how I felt about myself. We dated for about three years. We spent much time together, including with her family, but I never felt happy or fulfilled. This was not her fault. I was just unhappy with life. I pretended to be happy while we were together, but my low self-esteem stayed.

I kept needing attention from other girls. I used the internet to chat with others. Most chats did not lead anywhere, but I constantly tried to meet new people. I used almost every dating app and website to try and find someone else.

Eventually, I started talking to ["K"]. I had good conversations with ["K"], and we started wanting to meet. We met, things became physical fast. Before I knew it, another girl became interested in me, and we had a relationship.

My cowardly side stopped me from ending things with either girl. I hung out with each girl once a week; they lived about an hour apart. I lived two lives. I met each girl's parents and spent time with their friends. Somehow, I kept each girl from meeting my friends or family, or from finding out about each other. I made every lie and excuse to stop that from happening.

Now I am sure ["K"] knew something was wrong. I feel ["B"] knew something was wrong to a lesser degree, but neither confronted me. We kept this act for many years. I spent Christmas Eve with ["B"], Christmas morning with my family, and Christmas Day with ["K"]. This continued for many years. Seven years exactly.

The real truth is this: I was unhappy the whole time. Nothing made me feel good or happy with myself. ["B"] found out the lie in a random way. I was at ["K's"] place, and I accidentally dialed ["B"] on my cell phone. I did not know I had done it, but ["B"] heard me talking and laughing with ["K"].

I checked my voicemail after leaving ["K's"] house and heard a message from ["B"]. She said she wanted to talk, and something was wrong. I knew she found out right away, but not how.

The relationship with ["B"] ended. The relationship with ["K"] kept going. Finding out brought a huge weight off my shoulders. I felt indescribable relief. I finally escaped the lie I made, which I know was selfish.

I work hard daily to stop being the person I was, but lying is hard to overcome.

TL;DR: I dated two girls for seven years, then married one.

    Redditor wrote this.u/ProlificSpermDonator:

Before meeting my wife, I donated sperm in my 20s and early 30s. I donated sperm in several countries, exceeding the limits set due to incest. Some kids get my contact info when they turn 18, depending on the country.

I stopped donating after meeting my wife. She has no idea, and I never mentioned it. It seems too late to bring it up now. I plan to keep it secret until one of my biological kids contacts me.

    Redditor wrote this.u/Delmont_Dire:

My girlfriend and I have been together two years. Our relationship is solid, but there is a new guy at her job who worries me.

He is an awesome guy, I admit, but too awesome for me because my girlfriend thinks so too. She went to lunch with him, with other coworkers. I did not mind that. But I noticed small things as it went on, like her smiling differently when she scrolled through his Instagram posts. They share phone numbers, which I don't mind much, but he calls her sometimes to invite her to hikes and other things (he invites other coworkers too, not just my girlfriend).

Now my girlfriend has a week-long business trip. Her job sends her and some coworkers to a convention. This is normal; she has done it before, and I did not mind at all. But now the new guy is involved.

I found out he is going too.

He sent her a text saying, "See you in Orlando [nickname]" (that is her nickname only my family and I use).

None of it felt right to me, and my insecurities took over. I turned off her alarm and shut off her phone so no one could call her. (She oversleeps often, so I felt sure she would think it was her mistake missing the flight.)

She missed her flight. She panicked. She called her boss; a flight leaves tomorrow.

I feel bad about myself because she thinks it was her fault. My love and my own doubts got the better of me.

Should I tell her what I did? Should I even care about the new guy? Am I wrong?

I turned my girlfriend's alarm off so she missed her flight. I felt insecure about the new guy she met at work.

I met my wife about eight to nine years ago when I was 24. We fell for each other fast and became inseparable after our first date. I knew she was an amazing woman with great qualities for a wife early on.

The issue was my wife was the fourth woman I had slept with, compared to my twelve. I had been in long-term relationships before her, aside from one-night stands. Dating her bothered me after a few months. I wanted to be single for fun and experience things, but I didn't want to lose her over something small.

I cheated. For six months, business took me to different cities. During those months, I went to bars alone. Sometimes, I brought a woman to my hotel room. I did this with fifteen different women.

I gave these women fake numbers so they couldn't reach me again. I told a made-up story. I never saw any of them again. I kept it secret; I told no one—not my best friends, not my brother, no one.

After those six months, I got straight again and became the perfect boyfriend and then husband. We have an amazing relationship and marriage and two kids.

I don't regret anything. If I hadn't done what I did, our relationship would have ended, and we would have missed the amazing lives we have now.

    Redditor said this.u/throwawayyturieowpq:

My boyfriend and I are in college. He has a part-time job with his friend's father's company; he gets good pay working late. He doesn't have much money, but he has an apartment and some spare cash weekly. We were friends first. I started dating him because he bought us food, which I couldn't afford. I am just not that attracted to him; I like tall guys. We don't connect like people in a relationship do. As things went on, he started buying me clothes. I thought we would date a few weeks and then I would end it, but that did not happen. We have been together for 18 months. I moved in with him a few weeks ago.

My birthday was yesterday, and he gave me a diamond bracelet. He earns some money weekly, but not much, so he must have spent his savings on it. I felt terrible when he gave it to me. He says he loves me always, and I say it back, though I don't mean it. I just feel bad. It would be simpler if he were an asshole. I am not totally lying; I do love him, just not the way he loves me. I know I am a bad person, but not worrying about money or work is nice. I can go to college and then have fun. I do not know what I am doing, where this is going, or when I will end it. I do not know how to end it now.

TL;DR: I dated my boyfriend because I was broke and don't know how to end it.

    FromA former Redditor said this.:

It upsets me that my boyfriend complains about not having money for dates after spending money on himself. He pays for everything when we go out; however, I try to chip in. For example, if we go to a movie, I buy the tickets early and things like that.

I get angry when he complains about not having money for what he wants on a date after sending pictures from the fancy dinner he had or ordered in earlier in the week, or if he bought himself two new video games. It is not a big deal, but it sometimes makes me mad.

If he spends his money on himself, that is fine. I just do not want to hear him whine about not being able to buy us popcorn at the movies because he is broke after going out for a nice meal alone or getting new games earlier in the week.
