Creepy And Sinister Trees

Nature still has the power to freak people out, despite efforts by National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. Your local forest may seem like home to Bambis and Grandmother Willows, but there are creepy trees out there that will change your mind. These freaky trees, with their twisted branches and hunched trunks, look like they sprang from Dante's Inferno, blocking out the sunshine. People love local flora and fauna until they encounter trees with eyes and bloated, humanoid-like limbs. While not as overtly dangerous as hostile plants, scary-looking trees rely on their eerie appearance to convince you they're menacing. The photos below show just how sinister Mother Nature can be. If you come across one of these frightening trees, turn the other way - unless you're looking to stumble into something like Pan's Labyrinth.
