    Wayne had a busy night. He used the ID to lure Sam outside by telling her to go to the police station. Outside, he attacked Sam and Tara, chasing them into a Bodega during one of the film's most stressful scenes.

    Wayne killed two customers. He stole the Bodega clerk's shotgun and got rid of him too. Sam and Tara ran outside, and the police arrived. Wayne ran out the back door, leaving the Jill Roberts (Emma Roberts) and Charlie Walker (Rory Culkin) Ghostface masks behind.

    Wayne's plan to frame Sam for Jason and Greg's murders failed. He learned she was with her therapist, Dr. Christopher Stone (Henry Czerny), at the time of the crime.

    Ethan Landry Stabs 'Paul 2.0' And Anika Kayako

    Ethan Landry told Chad (Mason Gooding) he had econ. Everyone else went back to Sam and Tara's apartment. That night, Ethan snuck into the apartment. Danny Brackett (Josh Segarra) saw Ethan across the alley and tried to warn Sam. Ethan brutally killed Quinn’s date, “Paul 2.0,” leaving him in the bathtub.

    Ethan threw Quinn’s “dead body” onto Anika (Devyn Nekoda), surprising the group. Wayne had already swapped Quinn’s body with a decoy. Thus, everyone thought Anika was dead. Wayne acted emotional about his family being dead. This hid the fact that he was the mastermind.

    Things became very sad, very fast. Ethan sliced Mindy’s arm. Ethan then stabbed her girlfriend, Anika Kayako, in the stomach. Anika, Sam, and Mindy ran into the bathroom. They saw Paul’s body there. They then barricaded themselves in a bedroom. Danny held a ladder across their two windows. Sam and Mindy got across successfully.

    Anika climbed across while bleeding from her stomach wound. Ethan finally forced into the bedroom. Ethan started shaking the ladder. Mindy watched, unable to help her. Anika fell to her death.

    Detective Bailey planned to lure out Ghostface. Bailey got help from the Core Four, Kirby, and Ethan. This was a setup. It established Wayne and Ethan’s alibis. Quinn, whom everyone thought was dead, went to Gale’s (Courteney Cox) place to attack her.

    Quinn called Gale, taunting her about her former husband, Dewey Riley (David Arquette). While doing this, Quinn killed Gale’s muscular boyfriend, Brooks (Thomas Cadrot), and threw him through a bookshelf. This started the Gale vs. Ghostface fight that won the MTV Movie Award for best fight scene.

    Quinn chased Gale through her luxury apartment. They took turns gaining the upper hand. Gale grabbed Quinn’s gun. It looked like Quinn might win as Quinn claimed she left the apartment. Quinn was in a closet, getting shot at by Gale.

    Quinn wore a bulletproof vest because her dad is a cop. She jumped out of the closet unharmed. Quinn stabbed Gale multiple times. Tara stole Bailey's police car. They arrived just as Quinn finished Gale off. Quinn fled, leaving the Mickey Altieri Ghostface mask behind.

    Tara planned to trap Ghostface in the shrine. Wayne told them to travel in public for "safety." Mindy and Ethan separated from everyone else; this was likely the plan. Quinn slipped onto the train dressed as Ghostface and cornered Mindy.

    Chad needed to finish him. The girls ran back into the theater, surprised by Ghostface number two. Ethan and Quinn stabbed Chad at least ten times, then left him for dead to chase the Carpenter sisters.

    Two Ghostfaces surrounded Sam and Tara. A bloody Kirby appeared with her gun and sent them running. Kirby tried telling Sam and Tara she was attacked. Then Wayne arrived, insisting Kirby was the killer. As Kirby pleaded, the other Ghostfaces joined their father. Wayne used the chance to shoot Kirby twice. He then said, "Yeah, of course, me," before his children revealed themselves.

    Ethan admitted Mindy was right. He juked the roommate lottery to live with Chad. Quinn revealed she did not die. After Ethan and Quinn shared their Ghostface masks, Wayne finally explained the mask countdown. They built up to this moment: presenting Sam with her father’s - Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) - Ghostface mask to murder her and Tara for what they did to his son, Richie Kirsch.

    "When Dad here ‘discovers’ your horribly mutilated bodies, posed with Sam wearing her father’s mask, he’ll say some poor dumb bas***d read on the Internet that you’re the real Ghostface, and took matters into their own deluded hands," Ethan explained. This was the "perfect alibi." They made rumors that Sam started the Woodsboro murders to kill Richie. They used this to build a new story about her death, keeping their names out of it.

    Sam learned who she faced. She taunted Wayne, claiming his son was a baby and cried while she cut his throat. Quinn tried to attack her, but Tara stopped her. Tara smashed Quinn's face with a brick. Kirby reappeared, shooting her gun at Wayne, which briefly knocked him out because he wore a bulletproof vest. Ethan seized the chance, stabbing Kirby with the same knife Charlie used in.Scream 4, but in the same exact place. He taunted her, “Recognize this?”

    Wayne reached Sam right after she shot and killed his daughter. Sam seemed ready to shoot him too, but the gun failed. Instead, she ran at him, screaming, and the two barrels hit each other, sending them both falling off the balcony. Wayne landed on a display case, smashed it, and was knocked out, giving Sam control.

    Wayne wakes up. Sam calls him. Sam asks, “What’s your favorite scary movie?” Sam, wearing her father’s Ghostface costume, appears behind Wayne. She stabs him over 30 times. Tara gives Sam a look of approval. Sam finishes Wayne by stabbing him in the eye.

    Kirby Takes Down Ethan With The Television That Killed Stu Macher

    It wouldn’t be aScreammovie if there wasn’t a “moment when the supposedly dead killer comes back to life for one last scare.” Ethan ran at Sam and Tara the second they thought they could finally relax.

    Kirby reappeared, pushing the TV that killed Stu onto Ethan’s head, making her a fan favorite.
