Mary Jane Should Have Told Peter About Harry's Plan In 'Spider-Man 3'

    Redditoru/Volfgang91:

InSpider-Man 3Why would Mary Jane join Harry's plan? Harry gets hit on the head and forgets he is the Green Goblin Mk 2, that Peter is Spider-Man, and that he owes him revenge for his father's death. Peter gets his friend back. Then, Harry recovers from his memory loss and tries to hurt Peter emotionally before killing him. So, Harry threatens Mary Jane, telling her to break up with him or he will hurt Peter. Things seem okay. But then, the plan goes wrong.

Why does Mary Jane agree? She is scared; she does not want Peter hurt. This Mary Jane is not a great thinker. Harry watches from a distance, making sure she proceeds. Did she forget her boyfriend is Spider-Man? Did she forget Harry whacked him so hard he got amnesia for weeks? Did she forget he can lift a car without effort? Can he sense danger before it happens? Harry does not have super hearing. She only needed to say, "Yo, pretend to look upset because Harry is watching," and then explain everything. What did she think Harry's goal was? She knew he wanted to kill him; she must have known he would attack Peter anyway. She might as well tell him if it meant he would at least be ready.

Someone From The Wrestling Match Should've Made The Connection Between 'The Human Spider' And 'Spider-Man'

    Redditoru/Oliver-F_A:

InSpider-Man, Peter beats Bonesaw during the wrestling match and uses his powers. When Spider-Man appears to the public, wouldn't someone in the audience say, "Wait a minute, I saw that guy wrestle"? They could trace back when he signed up as "The Human Spider" and find his name as Peter Parker. We know who Spider-Man is now.

Marko's Locket Should've Turned To Sand As Well

    Redditoru/Readonly00:

InSpider-Man 3, the locket should have turned to sand too. Flint Marko turns his whole body to sand, including his belt buckle and any metal he wears. If everything turns to sand, why did the locket stay intact?

Doc Ock Shouldn't Have Tried To Kill Peter If He Was Just A Civilian

    Redditoru/Eimboesj:

Plot hole: Octavius knew Peter was just a geeky civilian. Peter would not have the supernatural reflex to dodge a car coming from behind. So why would you try to kill someone before questioning him?

Dock Ock made a deal with Harry Osborn to get Spider-Man. Harry told Otto that Peter might know his location (neither knew Peter was Spider-Man then). Harry finds Peter in a bistro with MJ and makes a big entrance by throwing a cab toward them. Fortunately, Peter saves himself and MJ using his Spidey reflexes.

    Redditoru/MinecraftingThings:

Doc Ock needs to find Spider-Man during the movie. Harry tells Ock to find Peter Parker first to locate him. Later, Peter and Mary-Jane enjoy a quiet afternoon at a cafe. Ock then throws a car through the window. If Ock did not know Peter was Spider-Man, why use car-lobbing instead of talking to get his attention? This is Ock's only lead to Spider-Man.

The Secretary Should've Been Suspicious That A Pizza Delivery Guy Just Came Out Of A Janitor's Closet

    From Redditoru/TapehNah:

InSpider-Man 2Why wasn't the secretary suspicious when a pizza delivery guy exited a janitor's closet? She stood on a high floor facing the elevators, seeing who entered and left. She did not seem bothered when the delivery man emerged from the closet she had been expecting for half an hour. Her job is to greet everyone who comes in. She made the call, waited half an hour, and the delivery guy magically came out of the closet with her order on a high floor in a building using elevators, never seeing him enter and not caring.

Tony And The FBI Should've Gone After Toomes After Getting A Positive ID

    From Redditoru/Aklein351:

Why did Tony and the FBI not pursue Michael Keaton's character after getting a positive ID? Tony told Peter he was the only one who listened. He identified the bad guys with the strange guns and prepared the FBI for a sting operation on the Staten Island Ferry. They knew who these guys were. If they did not know, they certainly did after Tony took Peter's suit and they had all the footage of the bad guy crews, complete with facial recognition and criminal records.

Why did Keaton's character live casually at home after the ferry incident? He drove Peter and Liz to prom as if there was no big problem, so no one looked for him. If Tony and the FBI pursued Keaton and the crew after the ferry incident, the rest of the movie loses meaning.

Spider-Man Shouldn't Technically Be Allowed To Fight Crime Post-Civil War

    From Redditoru/S0SOS:

InSpider-Man HomecomingThe whole point of Civil War was banning vigilante action. But Spider-Man is a vigilante who causes huge damage, yet he knows Tony Stark.

The E.D.I.T.H. Glasses Should've Tipped Peter Off To Mysterio's Plan

    From Redditoru/Finemor:

In the Prague bar, Peter puts on the E.D.I.T.H. glasses. Yet, apparently, no information tips him off that Mysterio is lying. This happens neither through the glasses naming Beck nor by stating something is wrong about the bar. This shows a major failure of the glasses. Even if it was just a glitch, Beck is careless letting Peter wear the glasses and potentially ruining his whole plan. This actually hurt the movie for me. I thought the glasses would warn Peter about Beck before the scene. When he put them on and... nothing happened. It seemed like a huge oversight.

    Peter Should Take More Precautions

Spider-Man's Attacks Should Have Hurt Doc Ock More

    From Redditoru/TheSpaghettiEmperor:

Spider-Man can stop a train. Why don't his punches just destroy Doc Ock's head? Spider-Man punches Doc in the head. Doc has normal human durability. Shouldn't Spider-Man just blow his head off on impact?

Peter's Spidey Sense Should Have Gone Off Before Uncle Ben's Death

    From Redditoru/iwasAfookenLegend:

Why does Spider-Man's spidey sense not activate during Uncle Ben's death? This happens at this point inThe Amazing Spider-Man, we see Spider-Man's spidey sense work. We know how it functions, so why does it not trigger when Uncle Ben was fighting the thief?

Midtown Tech Apparently Has Saturday Classes

    From Redditoru/katchoo1:

InSpider-Man: HomecomingDoes Midtown Tech HS have Saturday classes? This stresses me out. I finally saw it.Spider-Man: HomecomingI rewatched it with my wife yesterday because I liked it. Liz's party. She mentioned at school that it happens that night. Peter goes to the party, spots the men selling weapons, and that sequence plays out. Ned tells Peter not to return to the party, and they both say, “see you tomorrow at school.” The next day, they are at school; Peter dismantles a weapon piece he found.

Liz has a party on a weeknight, and May is fine with that. Maybe. Later in the movie, after the Academic Decathlon and Washington Monument events, Peter uses the suit to replay the party night (seeking another lead on the villains). He tells it to “roll it back to last Friday.” Unless they attend a school with Saturday classes (perhaps electives? Does this happen in NYC or special magnet high schools?), I cannot understand how that works.

The Academic decathlon exists. If Liz’s party was Friday and school was Saturday, Peter and Ned tracked the guys with the bug Peter placed on them Saturday night. They found the bad guys in Maryland and used the Academic Decathlon to go there. Sunday was the travel day to DC. Thus, the Academic Decathlon happened Monday. This seems crazy for high school students.

Why Didn't Gwen Track Down That Universe's Spider-Man As Soon As She Realized She Wasn't In Her Own World?

    From Redditoru/Ramze06:

Gwen arrived a week early, before the collider activated. Why did she not contact that universe's Spider-Man for aid before he died? She did not resist jumping in when Doc Ock tore Peter Parker and Miles from another dimension into a new one. Gwen could have found that universe's Spider-Man easily. She must have heard about him during the week she spent there. She did not just stay in Manhattan. Gwen put on her costume and swung around. She even entered that dimension during a fight. Another Spider-Person swinging in town like the original Spider-Man should have hit the news fast. Tell me why she never contacted the first Spider-Man. The movie gives no reason why.

For a movie about teaming up with other Spider-Men, why did the most sensible one not contact that other universe's Spider-Man for a whole week?

    There Should Be More Spider-People

    From Redditoru/stokleplinger:

In the Spider-Man movies, why did no one else get superpowers? The spider that bit Peter just scurried off after biting him. If the scientists missed it, it would have escaped and bitten others randomly. You would expect a super-spider not to get eaten like a weak creature. Someone at the lab should have combined ideas and let another super-spider bite them for powers.

The Tech In 'Far From Home' Is Way Too Overpowered

    From Redditoru/Rocky428:

How long did Tony Stark have an army of super-powerful drones retrofitted with hologram tech and high-class weapons that could destroy an entire major city? You might think Pepper installed them after the fight with Thanos, but that is a stretch.FFHtakes place only 8 months afterEndgame. (Side Note: Stark Industries can do this. They place a satellite in orbit filled with thousands of drones. Any drone could push a button and destroy London. You would expect the government or UN to speak up, especially since the code for a nuclear detonation is given to a 15-year-old.)

Also, why did Tony not use Beck’s hologram tech in later films? Beck was fired because he was unstable, but we saw what his holograms could do. Why did Tony not work to develop the technology so he could, I do not know, scare Thanos with a giant monster? Even if he does not want to weaponize it, there must be many uses for this tech.

The holograms in 'Far From Home' show off crazy, overpowered MCU tech. Previously, Mysterio and his team seemed to have to design and animate every Elemental battle themselves, which makes sense.

When Mysterio fights Spider-Man first, he uses complex holograms to scare him. This means Mysterio either spent tons of time designing a personal nightmare illusion just for fighting Peter (which he didn't want), or the drone tech links to his mind, letting him create any image. That level of tech is insane. Many conflicts could be solved this way; it is ridiculous. Even if he designs everything, simply making things dark helps.

Did Mysterio say he mixed his hologram tech with another person's drone tech? If so, why do all the drones already have the hologram tech built in? Tony did not care about this tech, so why put it on his drones?

Where Did Electro's Suit Come From In 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'?

    Redditor.u/Hoobshanker.:

Where did Electro's suit come from? It shows lightning bolts and more. Oscorp did not have time to design and build a villain suit for him. Why would they? He was just a test subject they planned to get rid of. He wears it when he appears at Oscorp right after Harry breaks him out. So where did it come from?
