Disney will release Star Wars spinoff films every other year, filling the gaps between core saga movies. With a dedicated fan base and vast mythology to tap into, Star Wars films will dominate multiplexes for years to come. But which characters deserve their own standalone movies? Will classic core characters like Han and Leia get solo films? Should filmmakers explore the backstories of supporting characters, or even obscure ones like Salacious Crumb and Greedo? The original trilogy, The Force Awakens, and prequels are ripe with spinoff potential - imagine a Poe Dameron adventure or a epic chronicle of Boss Nass's rise to power. It's up to you to decide who's worthy: vote for the characters you want to see in a spinoff film!

About this list
- 12
The 501st Legion, also called the 501st Battalion and later "Vader's Fist," was an elite military unit in the Grand Army of the Republic. Kaminoan cloners engineered the highly-trained clone troopers that made up the 501st. Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Knight, commanded the 501st during the Clone Wars. The 501st served both the Republic and the Jedi. However, the clones followed their programming and executed Order 66, a secret protocol forcing them to kill their Jedi officers. The 501st marched on the Jedi Temple of Coruscant. Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader, helped purge the Temple's occupants, including Padawans and younglings. The 501st later earned the nickname "Vader's Fist" and served as Vader's personal stormtrooper legion under the Galactic Empire.
