    Stampede Mesa is a West Texas grassland where an enormous cattle stampede happened. A landowner caused this stampede. He saw some of his small cattle caught in a 1000-strong cattle drive. Mad that his cows were gone, the landowner made the herd stampede over a cliff, killing 700 head and the cowboys watching them. The owner was caught, tied, and blindfolded to his mule, sent over the cliff to die.
