    Mother Nature Came Early

    From a Facebook commenterLeah Karagogo:

I got my period at Cedar Point. I was a young teen and too embarrassed to ask my friend’s mom for a pad, so I used toilet paper. Waiting two hours for The Magnum, I learned I was terribly wrong…

The boy I waited with (and liked) became my hero. He gave me his long-sleeved tee to tie around my waist. People noticed that before, though…

    When You Can't Stop Puking

    From a Facebook commenterCP Bay:

My twin brother and I went to Olive Garden with a friend before King’s Dominion. After the first ride, we both puked at once. After some time, we felt better and got on another ride. We puked again the minute we got off! The worst part? Both times happened in front of the same kids. One yelled, “It’s the puking twins again!”

    Walked Way Too Much

    From a Facebook commenterChristopher Stevens:

I was about 8. Mom bought me new shoes a day or two before going to Six Flags. My feet got wet, so Mom tossed my socks into the trash. Those new shoes rubbed huge blisters on both ankles. I felt excruciating pain by the end of the day.

    From a Facebook commenterCat Normand:

Getting my first enema. Apparently, crossing your ankles has a reason for those steep drop water slides.

    From a Facebook commenterKim MK:

    That was mine too.

    When You Get Lost

    From a Facebook commenterMarc Studebaker:

I got separated from my family at age 4 in Astroworld, Houston, TX, in 1978. They took me to the “Lost peoples' place.” A nice young lady tried to read to and comfort me. I hated it! I do not recall how the situation ended, only that I reunited with my family.

Cedar Point. Large groups of kids ran around, ruined the place, cut lines, and everyone nearby feared speaking up.

They Ate Out Of The Trash Can

    From a Facebook commenterTrever Kent:

I was about ten, standing in line for a roller coaster at Michigan's Adventure. I obsessed over Dippin' Dots ice cream. That day was really hot. Someone threw away almost a full cup of Dippin' Dots into the trash; it sat right on top. It hadn't melted yet. I grabbed it and started eating it.

    From Facebook commenterJanet Johnston:

And you lived to tell about it.

A small child was told not to ask for anything at Disney. They were reminded every time we went to be grateful we got to go. That is how it was said.

    When You Overreact

    From Facebook commenterAmbre Peace:

Busch Gardens. The year the Alpengeist opened. I was seven. It broke down all day, opening only at the end. My dad wanted to ride. I cried and cried and cried because I thought he would die.

He rode. He did not die. He got free tickets to return on the way out. Happy ending.
