Celebrity feuds usually stay in newspapers or websites. Sometimes, though, they lead to physical fights. John Lovitz and Andy Dick fought after tensions between them built up.
Lovitz started the trouble years earlier, annoyed by Dick’s constant needling him on the set ofNewsRadio.Dick essentially accused him of causing Phil Hartman’s death. Things got worse when Dick confronted Lovitz at the restaurant Lovitz partially owned, where Lovitz supposedly placed the “Hartman hex” on him. Then, Dick confronted Lovitz.Dick showed up at Lovitz’s comedy show..
Lovitz recalled:
He wanted Dick to say, 'Oh, I'm sorry.' Then Dick leaned in, 'Well you know why I said that? Because you said I killed Phil Hartman that's the first thing you said to me when you got on the show.' Lovitz lost it. He grabbed Dick by his shirt and pushed him against the wall. Dick just smiled. Lovitz saw his chance. He grabbed Dick's shirt, pushed him hard, and smashed his back and head into the bar. He did it again. The doorman stopped him.

Speaking toEW,Hall spoke clearly about the reasons. He explained the reasonsfor disliking Leno:
Jay's issues started at the beginning of my show. As a friend, he called my office about show segments he watched. His calls were friendly and complimentary. However, Jay told other people negative things about me and the show. Eventually, mutual acquaintances repeated his views and the press shared them. For instance, I read Jay criticized my performance as a monologist, my hosting taste, and the guests I booked. I accept criticism, but I did not like the two-faced way someone I considered a friend acted.

Larry the Cable Guy was a top comedian in America during the 2000s and 2010s. He appealed to an earthy feeling and often broke political correctness rules. Much of his comedy walked close to what was acceptable.
This caused some pushback.most notably from David Cross., who was very harsh in an interview withRolling Stone, saying:
David Cross performs well. He uses anti-gay, racist humor, which America likes, all wrapped in 'I'm telling it like it is.' He is in the right spot now for that gee-shucks, proud-to-be-a-redneck, I'm-just-a-straight-shooter-multimillionaire-in-cutoff-flannel, selling-ring tones-act. This is where the nation is now. We have vague American values and anti-intellectual pride.

Other targets of Williams's scorn included Cedric the Entertainer and rapper/actor Ludacris, whom Williams even claimed said:he was a member of the Illuminati.

Johnny Carson was a household name for many years. This came from his long time on The Tonight Show. The Tonight Show.. Joan Rivers was one of Carson's most enduring and successful guests. Their on-air chemistry was undeniable, despite little personal contact.
Things soured for Rivers partly because she left the show. Rivers had hosted several times, but the network saw little growth for her. She left to launch her own show at Fox. Since she did not tell Carson about it before the news broke, he took it as a personal insult.
He felt because I was a woman that I was his. I would not leave him. This sounds warped. I do not understand what happened otherwise. For years, I thought he liked me more than others. But I think it was about, 'I found you, and you’re my property.' He did not like that as a woman, so I fought against him.
The feud continued until Carson died in 2005. The two never reconciled their differences.
