The mighty Yautja seem strong and fearsome compared to humans, but how powerful are they in the grand scheme? Many alien species in cinema could be prey for a Predator. As one of the best action films, Predator delivers top-notch moments, rivaling any sci-fi killing machine. While Alien vs. Predator doesn't quite match those highs, it's fun to watch the Yautja face off against another great sci-fi monster. For the proud warrior Yautja, hunting is everything - they gain status and a mate based on the alien races they defeat. What sci-fi species would make the best hunt for a Yautja?

Krayt DragonsReptiles from Tatooine split into two types: the smaller land-Krayt and the huge Greater Krayt. These creatures are the top predators on Tatooine. For a Yautja hunting great prey, the Greater Krayt Dragon offers the best prize.
Yautja value trophies. Krayt Dragons carry pearls inside, making them a satisfying hunt for the Yautja. Eliminating one earns the Yautja a win.
InThe MandalorianMando hunts a Greater Krayt Dragon. This is a tough job. He joins a tribe of Tusken Raiders to finish it. Mando destroys the creature by blowing it up from the inside. Yautja want a shot against these beasts? This is the best move.
161 - 2

Grootis aflora colossusand comes from Planet X. Groot is the galaxy's strongest guardian, despite Star-Lord's former Celestial potential. Groot is made of tough wood; he grows it as he wills. Groot moves like a wooden Mr. Fantastic.
A Yautja won't easily hunt Groot. If a Yautja wants to hunt him, cutting off a piece and regrowing a Groot in captivity is simpler.
114 - 3

Those who rememberStitchas a cuddly pet for Lilo, remember his origins. The film shows Stitch as "bulletproof, fireproof, and can think faster than a supercomputer. He can see in the dark and lift objects three thousand times his size. His only instinct... to destroy everything he touches!” Stitch is clever and powerful, shown by his escape from prison. Stitch also uses almost all alien weapons and ships well.
Stitch rivals a Yautja. He is as strong and as smart. A Yautja might find him too powerful to hunt. Still, an ambitious Yautja can try. Stitch has weaknesses a Yautja can use. For example, he fears water.
96 - 4

Cloveris a massive kaiju fromCloverfield. Clover can shut down New York's power grid and rip off the Statue of Liberty's head. Clover's tail alone can destroy the Brooklyn Bridge.
The military brings Clover down in Cloverfieldafter throwing every bomb at the creature. Any Yautja stalking Clover must stay hidden long enough to place explosives or traps near the beast. A Yautja cannot defeat Clover in a real fight.
93 - 5

The Death AngelsfromA Quiet PlaceAliens have outer shells strong enough to stop all known human tools. They cannot see, but they have very sensitive hearing that warns them of prey. These aliens nearly wiped out human civilization. Remaining humans can only try to avoid them.
Regan discovers a way to kill a Death Angel. She amplifies the high-frequency sound from her hearing aid. This causes severe pain to nearby Death Angels. The pain forces the Death Angels to open their head armor, revealing a weak spot for a shot.
A Yautja/Death Angel fight depends on whether the Yautja knows the Death Angel's weakness. If the Yautja lacks knowledge, they lose. However, these sophisticated hunters can end every Death Angel if they know the weakness.
70 - 6

Sand WormsThese massive worms live on Arrakis. Sand Worms reach 450 meters long. That is seven meters longer than the Empire State Building.
This kaiju-sized worm avoids the Yautja's usual hunt range. Yet, an ambitious Predator can take down a Sand Worm. Water is scarce on Arrakis, but Yautja with H2O finds taking the worm down simple. Water poisons Sand Worms, even small amounts. A super soaker works.

It is strong and big enough that a Predator loses if it gets too close. Clever Yautja can trap the Rancor, like Luke traps one with a durasteel door.
26 - 9

Zuul the GatekeeperThis immortal demonic demigod comes fromGhostbustersZuul exists in a dimension separate from Earth. He manifests on Earth when a gateway opens. Zuul can possess humans and other lifeforms.

The Klingonsare not mindless animals, but humans are too (Yautja hunt humans). Klingons are born warriors. Unlike Yautja, Klingons used combat to become a top military power; Yautja use abilities for sport.
Klingons are stronger than humans and wear tough exoskeletons, like the Yautja. A hand-to-hand fight stays close. Klingons value honor more than Yautja and usually fight in military units. A Yautja can take out one or two Klingons using dirty fighting and guerrilla tactics.
-14 - 13

The Arachnids fromStarship TroopersArachnids invade worlds, conquering other species. Many Arachnid subspecies exist; the most common one is theWarrior BugWarrior Bugs are four-legged military units. They use sheer numbers to overwhelm enemies.
A Yautja can easily defeat a military bug one-on-one. However, a Yautja seeks the hunt's challenge, so a simple Warrior Bug is not prey. A better target for the Yautja is aBrain Bug, a subspecies of Arachnids that telepathically link with lesser bugs. Killing the Brain Bug is easy. But a Yautja trying will face endless waves of Warrior Bugs.

The unnamed aliens inAttack the BlockGorilla Aliens, which fans call "Gorilla Aliens," travel to Earth in cocoons on meteorites. These aliens look somewhat like gorillas with black fur and glowing, neon teeth. Their attacks are vicious and animalistic.
A Yautja fighting a Gorilla Alien would likely look like theYautja vs. Alien battleinAlien Vs. PredatorThe Yautja can easily beat a Gorilla Alien with their advanced weapons. Still, the Yautja probably prefers an old-school hand-to-hand fight.
